Chrysalis Services for Girls & Women is falling in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’’ Office on Women’s Health in feting National Women’s Health Week. On May 15, Chrysalis Services’ for Girls & Women will keep a women’s health seminar, where women from Orangeburg and the environing areas will be competent to larn about women’s health, nutrition and fitness
The women’s health seminar will feature guest speakers who will discourse how women can create healthier lifestyles. During the seminar, participants can larn how to sign up for participation in The Woman Challenge, a program that encourages women to comprise at least 2 hours and 30 minutes of animal activity into their lives on a weekly basis. Chrysalis Services for Girls & Women is patronizing “Team Chrysalis” for The Woman Challenge and will have online and in-person activities to boost and support its team members
“National Women’s Health Week is important because it encourages women to take time for their health,” says Marcia Davis Taylor, President/CEO of Chrysalis Services for Girls & Women. “Women are often the caregivers for their families and, as a result, forget to make their own health a priority. With National Women’s Health Week, we prompt women that they too necessitate to visit the doctor, set up and devour nutritious meals, and comprise steady animal activity into their day-to-day routine.”
National Women’s Health Week is a nationwide initiative that calls attention to the importance of women’s health. During the week, individuals, families, health organizations, businesses, communities, and the government come together to raise awareness about women’s health issues and school women about uncomplicated steps they can take for longer, healthier and happier lives.
National Women’s Health Week kicks off on Mother’s Day, May 9, and will be celebrated through May 15, 2010. National Women’s Checkup Day — a day where women across the country are urged on to visit their doctor — will be kept on May 10. In addition, The Woman Challenge, an eight-week online animal activity program, will be held May 9–July 3
