What Does Tap Water Contain and Why it is Damaging Our Health

This scared me to death when I recently read about the amount of dangerous toxins in our water.  When you ask what does tap water contain, you may not want to hear the answer.

For a long time now our treatment plants have been failing to clean the water effectively, with the dramatic increase in our chemical use in industry and agriculture, not to mention the vast array of pharmaceuticals that are getting in.

What does tap water contain that is so harmful us?  Well the new wave of drugs include antibiotics, anti-convulsants, mood stabilizers and sex hormones, in addition to the old problems of lead (from the old pipes) and volatile organic chemicals.

With over 2100 toxic chemicals that can cause birth defects and cancer, we have good cause to be concerned. The most worrying factor is that no long term studies have been done on how this will affect us for the future, as we consume large amounts of water on a daily basis. We need to see what the problems could be in 20 years or so.
